Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to the Gold Coast
On arrival in Brisbane, travel by private car to Palazzo Versace. Enjoy an evening at leisure. Overnight: Palazzo Versace, Lagoon Room for 2 nights
Day 2: Relax on the Gold Coast
Shop at the Versace store to find some exquisite buys. Relax by the pool or indulge in a luxurious treatment at the Salus per Aquum Spa. (B)
Day 3: Gold Coast-Cairns-Palm Cove
Travel via private car to Brisbane Airport and fly to Cairns, the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef (airfare not included). Transfer by private car to Palm Cove, 20 minutes north of Cairns. Overnight: Sebel Reef House & Spa, Brigadier Room for 3 nights (B)
Day 4: Aboriginal Culture and Rainforest Experience
Travel to the Aboriginal Culture Park and experience the rich cultural dance and skills of the Aboriginal people. After lunch, board the Skyrail for a trip above the canopy of this World Heritage national park. At Kuranda, visit the village and its famous market. Later, see the mighty Barron Falls lookout before returning to Palm Cove. (B,L)
Day 5: Great Barrier Reef Day Cruise
Journey to Port Douglas then cruise to the Outer Great Barrier Reef. Swim, dive, snorkel or see the coral life in the semi-submersible viewer (diving, own expense). (B,L)
Day 6: Cairns - Sydney
Fly to Sydney (airfare not included), Australia's most vibrant city with friendly people, nonstop entertainment and historical sites. Overnight: Shangri-La Hotel Sydney, Deluxe Opera House View Room for 3 nights (B)
Day 7: Sydney City Sights & Opera House
Travel through the historic Rocks area to Sydney Harbor National Park. Later at the famous Sydney Opera House, enjoy a guided tour, a 3-course dinner and a performance-a night to remember! (B,D)
Day 8: Sydney at Leisure
Today is free to explore Sydney-enjoy a ferry ride, go shopping or meander through museums. Perhaps take a tour to the Hunter Valley wineries, Blue Mountains or wildlife sanctuaries (optional). (B)
Day 9: Depart Sydney
Transfer by private car to Sydney Airport for your onward flight (airfare not included). (B)
